Some people may have issue with the recording of a hunt, but I still enjoy the ability to recount some of the very spectacular moments in duck hunting... Here's some top shots without any background music...

Sweet blog!I think recording a hunt is a great tool to learn by.Also it's always fun to razz your friends about missing the easy shot when you have it on tape.Shooting ducks on the water is another thing.I know it's not illegal but damn it's a little backwoods and unsportsmanlike
Tugboatdude,
I suppose I should clarify the two scenes from the video with the ducks on the water... one was in pursuit of a cripple, those eiders are the largest duck in North America and tougher than hell... the other shot was a different opportunity where we actually stayed low and the eiders rafted towards the decoys... I chose to take the far right drake eider... I do appreciate your input and over 95% of our shots are on the wing...
After I poasted that comment my brother informed me that maybe they were cripples,my bad.
The duck that is worse than an eider would have to be the oldsquaw, now called the long-tailed duck... The maineoutdoorsman must have spent at least $30 dollars on ten gauge shells chasing a drake down... what tough birds!!! We figure that if we are willing to participate in waterfowling then we must be willing to pursue our quarry... No one is perfect but we as many sportsman try to take quality shots so not to unfairly injure a duck... However, I will use some decor in how I edit my movies from now on and shooting at birds under power in Maine is illegal unless you are pursuing a cripple...
